Behavioural Support
Understanding what's behind the behaviour
When your dog's behaviour becomes difficult, worrying or hard to understand, it can be difficult to know what to do next — particularly when you've already tried training or followed advice and nothing seems to be changing.
Behaviour is rarely just about what we see on the surface. Emotional well-being, physical comfort, previous experiences, environment and learning can all influence how a dog responds to the world around them.
As a Clinical Animal Behaviourist, my approach looks at the whole dog, helping us explore what may be contributing to the behaviour you're seeing rather than simply trying to stop the behaviour itself.

Behavioural support for dogs experiencing…
Every dog is different, and behavioural difficulties can present in many ways. I work with dogs experiencing a range of behavioural concerns, including:
- Sensitivity to dogs, people, sounds or the wider environment
- Growling, snapping or biting
- Guarding of items, food or spaces
- Fear or anxiety
- Difficulty being left alone
- Handling or grooming difficulties
- Sudden or unexplained changes in behaviour
- Difficulty settling, coping or switching off in everyday situations
You don't need to know why your dog's behaviour is happening before getting in touch. Understanding what may be contributing to the behaviour, and what your dog may need in order to move forward, is part of the assessment process.
Nose to Tail Behaviour Assessment & Support Programme
Behaviour is rarely influenced by one thing alone. The Nose to Tail Behaviour Assessment & Support Programme is designed to look at your dog as a whole, bringing together their behaviour, emotional well-being, physical presentation, environment, daily life and previous experiences.
Rather than focusing only on changing the behaviour we can see, the programme allows us to explore what may be contributing to it and what your dog needs to move forward.
It combines an in-depth behavioural assessment with a Dynamic Dog® functional assessment and, where appropriate, liaison with your veterinary team, giving us a much fuller picture of your dog and their individual needs.
Nose to Tail Behaviour Assessment & Support
- Understand your dog
- See the whole picture
- Know how to move forwards

What is included in the programme?
I take the time to properly explore your dog's behaviour, history, daily life and the concerns you're experiencing. This includes an in-depth behavioural assessment alongside a Dynamic Dog® functional assessment, helping us consider physical presentation and movement as part of the wider picture.
Following the assessment, I bring together the information gathered to help make sense of what may be contributing to your dog's behaviour. Where appropriate, this can also include liaison with your veterinary team, helping us consider any relevant health or physical factors alongside your dog's behaviour.
You'll receive a personalised written report, clear recommendations and carefully selected resources based on your individual dog, your circumstances and what we've identified through the assessment — rather than a generic training plan or list of techniques to try.
You'll have three months of WhatsApp and email support, together with a dedicated online follow-up appointment. This gives you time to put recommendations into practice, ask questions and review progress without needing to commit to an ongoing schedule of appointments.
For some dogs and their families, this may be all the support they need. Others may benefit from additional sessions as they progress, which can be arranged separately if needed. This means you're only paying for the level of ongoing support that's right for you and your dog.
